- You and each employee of the business need a suitably equipped IP telephone set (e.g. Nortel 1120E) and/or desktop computer equipped with the Virtual Office software and headset. These items can be self-supplied, purchased from C&W or sourced from third-parties.
- To use Virtual Office your business will need an internal data network that has sufficient bandwidth and quality for the audio and video traffic it is intended to carry. The overall configuration and topology of that network is dependent on a number of factors including but not limited to, the number of users, volume and type of other traffic that will share that network and network traffic volume and patterns.
- Virtual Office also requires an Internet or data connection between your business data network and the Virtual Office platform at C&W. The size of that connection will depend upon the number of employee stations and phones, the expected volume of voice calls, and whether the same connection is used for Internet access as well.
The customer is responsible for providing the stations and LAN, and for installation and configuration of their LAYER 3 switch connected to their LAN. Not all features may be available with all stations. C&W can provide IT service to the customer upon request, at the additional charge.
